Snow Leopard has changed the way they calculated drive capacity of earlier versions of Mac OS X: Now is the size of the advertising drive you purchased.
When running Snow Leopard, your Mac tells him the same number of gigabytes on disks that appear in the box manufacturer, calculated in base 10, no 2 at the base, which is what Leopard, all previous versions of Mac OS X and all current and previous versions of Windows use.
